Neodymium Rare-Earth Magnets 18mm x 2mm

A neodymium magnet (also known as NdFeB, NIB, or Neo magnet), a type of rare-earth magnet, is a permanent magnet made from an alloy of neodymium, iron, and boron to form the Nd2Fe14B tetragonal crystalline structure. This material is currently the strongest known type of permanent magnet.

Neodymium rare earth magnets are very powerful, much more powerful than magnets most people are familiar with. The magnetic fields from these magnets can affect each other from more than 4 inches away. Please note that these magnets are fragile. Even though they are coated with a tough protective nickel plating, do not allow them to snap together with or they may chip, break, or even send small pieces of metal flying on impact. Please note that neodymium magnets will lose their magnetic properties if they are heated above 180° Fahrenheit (80° C).
